Clearwater Roleplay 2CLWA

The Clearwater National Forest covers 1.8 million acres from the jagged peaks of the Bitterroot Mountains in the east to the river canyons and the rolling hills of the Palouse Prairie in the west. The North Fork of the Clearwater and the Lochsa rivers provide miles of tumbling white water interspersed with quiet pools for migratory and resident fish. The mountains provide habitat for elk, moose, whitetail and mule deer, black bear, gray wolf, cougar, mountain goats, and many smaller mammals

Brave walked boldly along a river, fully aware of being in an enemy territory, and yet not really caring. Brave splashed loudly as he loped in the shallows, wanting to know if this pack would come to get him or something. the lupe sighed, a growl hidden within. If he had Rar by his side, he would be fine, and would trot right up to that strong alpha male there always is, and ask him to be in the pack. "But I guess not." brave replied to himself. The brute made circles with his twisted paw, and then talked himself into it "Alright, I'll go - for Rar." he trotted into the forest wondering what his decision would turn to.

The small coal fae, rested upon a bed of pine needles. "Endless Eternity, I like it" Faith said with a smile. Her cranium was pointed towards the bright blue sky. Puffs of water vapors vanished into the harsh winter air.

Larka nudged a pebble, watching it roll a few ways before stoping. She was bored, lost, and well... Lonely, although she wouldn't admit it.
Well-fed for a loner, she stared at the rock dully, clearly wanting to do something more fun than kicking a pebble around. Dipping her head, she nudged it with her muzzle again before trotting less than a foot to where it landed.
She stared at it, unblinkingly, before plopping down less-than-gracefully, still staring at the rock.
"I'm reduced to having a rock as entertainment. Wonderful." She rolled her eyes, returning her gaze to her rock, staring at it. It wasn't even a remarkable rock, a dull grey color, flat only on one end. It was smooth, possibly from being weathered for who-knows-how-long.
Larka sighed, before getting to her paws slowly, prodding her pebble with her forepaw. Just deciding whether she wanted to continue rolling around the pebble, she froze, her muzzle in the air.
The musky scent of rabbit wafted across the breeze.
Her favorite prey.
A smile tugged at her lips and she turned, casting for the source of the scent.
There.
She swung her head around, facing the east, her ears erect as she trotted forward, her concentration fully on the Hunt, her gait easy yet graceful.

Post  Kioti Mon Jan 02, 2012 10:34 am

Kioti, having been walking for days, stumbled onto a new territory. His senses went into overload and a small growl emerged from this throat, even though no one was near him to hear it.

Kioti spotted a white female, not to far up ahead of him. His body went tense, and his hackles rose. He knew the wolf probably didn't see him, but he was always on the catious side and never took any chances when spotting an unfamilar wolf.

Althea took careful steps in the territory that was unknown to her. Using trees as a cover she watched a gray male and his reactions to a female not far off. She snorted. The white female did not even realise their presence, as it seemed that rocks were her bigger concern.
Althea continued on walking, now slowly her paws choosing the right ground for her not to slip and fall or to give her away. The ground underneath them was damp and covered in moss. Her ears twitched at the distance waterfall and the movement of a hare. She snorted again, as she ignored it's presence. She didn't hunt animals that were not weak, it was her rule that she would obey.

"Poor little creatures. Their looks only show a sign of welcome to those who hunt on them."
She muttered to herself as she carried on walking.

Kioti's ears perked. He heard another sound. His body tensed up even more, but he stayed hidden from everyone's view. The small brute found a bush around his size and he hid behind it.

Althea moved on, ignoring the movement of a bush behind her. She didn't feel a slight intimidated by what's happening behind her. She decided to turn out of her small disguise of trees, to the river.
Yet instead she sat on the edge of the forest and the pebbly beach. Her eyes moved seeing if anyone or anything wanted to get close to her.

Kioti was confused on the wolf's reaction. She wasn't scared or anything. Kioti decieded to act tougher and see if she would notice him.

He jumped over the small bush and followed her, wondering if she would notice him. It was almost like him stalking prey, the way he was following the fae.

Althea's eyes looked at the brute who was slowly moving towards her. She continued to look at him, allowing him to step closer to her.
The wolf was trying to intimidate her. Her instant reply, showed no submission as Althea faced the male. She seemed to lack the company of another, but that didn't mean she would simply show that she was weaker when in fact she was not.

The coal fae glared at two figures in her territory. A large growl, crept up the fae's throat. With a huff, she went into a run, stopping in front of the strangers. Though she was small. she wasn't going to let it change the fact she had strangers in her territory. "What do you think you're doing?" she said glaring at the wolves.

Althea stepped to the side, allowing the two wolves to be at each of her flanks. She looked at the dark furred female.
"Seeing if there is a pack near here."
Her green eyes looked at her, and not moved. Althea has already seen that the two wolves are weaker than her. She kept watching the female, yet hearing out for the male on her right making sure he doesn't surprise her.

"Seeing if there is a pack near here."

The small coal fae still glaring at the stranger, spoke" Yes, in fact this is my territory. The home of the endless eternity pack." Faith stood still, eyeing both the strangers. Her black paws clung, onto the smooth rock, that she stood on

Larka paused in mid-step, her ears pricked as she looked around.
Did she just see---?
She shook her head.
No, it couldn't be... Could it?
Her attention wavered from the hunt and she watched her surroundings suspiciously.
The wind shifted slightly, the scent of wolf reaching her nostrils, causing her to tense. She stood there for a few moments, distinguishing the scents of two females and a male, all together.
Her Hunt forgotten, she turned her gaze towards the trees, the direction of the scents. Shrugging, she loped forward at an easy pace, curious about the other wolves.

"Yes, in fact this is my territory. The home of the endless eternity pack."

Still gazing at the female Althea nodded.
"Would you consider, me joining?"
Her ears twitched at the sound of a moving bush. Instantly she felt eyes upon her. She had to control herself not to growl at the unknown spectator.

Aaron prods a rock and lays down next to it, tired from walking.
He munches on a hare he caught roaming around the territory, enjoying the taste of fresh kill.
Truth is, this brute loves being alone, thinking that silence is a gift.
He sits and watches the other wolves of the pack.

More wolves were getting closer to him. He began to get angry and sort of scared, which he tried not to show at all. A snarl went across his face, and he stood there, trying to act tough. Well, he knew he was tough, but many wolves didn't believe it due to his small size.

Larka watched the male tense, his hackles raised. What's with him? she couldn't help but think; until, that is, she heard him snarl.
She'd been in enough fights to reply instinctively, a growl gathering in her throat, even if the threat wasn't directed towards her.
Then she froze, clamping her jaws shut swiftly, the sound ceasing almost immediately. Cursing her own folly, she stepped back slightly, knowing she'd just given away her position.

Althea swiftly turned her head to face the male. Her immediate response, was a fierce growl, as her hackles raised as her non submission stance showed. If he wanted a fight she would defend herself. He muzzle tightened showing her snow white canines, her claws tearing at the ground where she stood.

Althea's ears twitched at the sound of another cut-off growl, yet she ignored it. She concentrated on the male in front and the female behind her. She could feel her muscles contracting, ready to move her body when it would be needed.

Althea the Unlikely named so because of her wistful nature that masked a cold and fierce rage. The words chanted inside her mind.

Kioti was in over his head. The two females were fierce and wouldn't back down. Kioti moved his head back and forth between the two of them, wondering who was going to make the first move. He would only strike if someone else did first.

Kioti took a step closer, not towards any of the other wolves specifically, and glared at them. His eyes moving back and forth, watching their every move. He was already tensed and had been for quite some time now. He was beginning to get sore from that, but would not be the first to back down.

Althea kept her eyes on the male. Seeing him move closer, another growl was thrown out of her.
"Stay there"
She spat the words out, at him. Her claws retracted and opened again. She would soon give in to rage, or the male would make the wrong move. Althea carefully watched, acknowledging the right way to strike to attack or to defend. She snarled her patience growing weaker.
This was natural of her, this was her true being.

Kioti relaxed slighty, only to hear what the female said. He stopped fully and was shocked. He never had a wolf who stood up to him like that and showed no fear towards him.

He spoke his first words to the female. "I will not hurt you. No need to attack me. I have calmed down."he said, in a soft, yet serious tone.

Althea's heavy gaze watched the male.
"I will not hurt you. No need to attack me. I have calmed down."

She looked at him, yet she did not relax or let her guard down. She snarled again, she never trusted strangest not now, not ever.

"And how can I believe you?"

She circled the male, her hackles relax but her canines bared. Make the wrong move and you're down. She thought, when she stepped into a perfect position for her to defend herself. Because when it came to fighting it was her greatest talent.

Brave heard many wolves, and one female, obviously of a large size, due to her footfalls. "A worthy opponent?" he asked himself. The large lupe chuckled and took off to her, seeing her circle a smallish male. Sure, he wanted to fight her, and he also had to stand up for the male - two for one! He ran and tackled the female, getting her on the ground but swiftly getting off. he stood beside the other male noncholantly, as if nothing had happened, and he circled his twisted paw in the dust, making a swirl.

Althea swiftly got up, and face the male who knocked her over. She didn't like being surprised. As rage took over her, a rough snarl gathered up her throat. Her hackles were raised, and her claws teared at the earth.

"And you think you are who?"

Althea the Unlikely named so because of her wistful nature that masked a cold and fierce rage. Took over her mind, as she calculated her attack. So many possibilities. This male was bigger than the other, yet not as big as her. She growled again, this time a warning to submit.
